SAT ACT Test Dates for 2025-2026

ACT National Test Dates:

9/6/2025,    10/18,    12/13

2/14/2026,   4/11,     6/13,    7/11

From September 2025, the New Core ACT version will be implemented, primarily to shorten the test time. This “student-friendly” ACT test has fewer questions and slightly more time per question.  The Science section is becoming optional, and its score is reported separately. For both digital (online) and paper testing options are available.

Ivy strongly recommends that students begin preparing for the SAT or ACT test in their junior year or as early as sophomore year if they have completed Advanced Algebra.  We advise taking the SAT or ACT test two to three times, while you are studying for the test (at Ivy), to achieve your target score.  Ivy’s individualized and interactive tutoring program is designed to help you boost your test scores.

 

For juniors, Ivy also highly recommends taking the PSAT/NMSQT test in October. This test not only provides valuable insight into your academic strengths and areas for improvement but also opens the door to participate in scholarship opportunities through the National Merit Scholarship Program (NMSP).
